Itinerary:

A 4 day 3 night hiking trip for families. Suitable for ages 5 and up with some hiking experience. Parents are responsible for knowing their own children’s limits. Good hiking shoes and rain gear recommended.

Day 1: Bus up from parking lot. Hike the 1-2 km to the hut. Getting to know the group. Potentially an afternoon hike around Lake O’hara.

Day 2: Lake Oeasa via the alpine loop trail (9-12km) rated as moderate. Shorter objectives are available based on childrens capacity.

Day 3: Morning Glory Lakes via Linda Lake route 7.4km rated as moderate. Afternoon; 3rd annual(ish) Family Camp Olympics.

Day 4: pack up, clean hut, bus to parking lot and head home.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
