Itinerary:

Drive down to the big bend for 9am Saturday morning and gear up. Ski up the Saskatchewan glacier and set up camp. Early rise and ski from camp up onto the ice-field and bag Castleguard. Return to the camp, pack up and ski out to the the big bend.

Notes:

This trip will suit novices with some experience and above. The group will be selected to ensure that there is a mix of experience. Fitness and the ability to carry and ski with a 2 day pack, with camping gear is key. The trip will have minimal AVI and crevasse hazard, except whilst on the icefield proper and the final summit slopes. Please read up on the trip before applying.




*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
