Itinerary:

Shake off the holiday hubbub and skip the boxing day blitz with an early morning departure out of Edmonton on the 26th followed by an ~4h ski into Jacques Lake Cabin for a 2 night stay.  Mild exploring around the hut on the 27th (or opt for a relaxed chill out/reading day).  Board games in the evenings anticipated.  We will have a lazy departure on the 28th followed by our drive home.  

Required Items to Bring:

Hardware: Avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel, probe) *ask me about borrowing club gear if you don't have your own

Software: Attitude that includes sportsmanship, inclusivity, and environmental stewardship :)


Recommended Items to Bring:

Alpine touring gear is recommended but XC or split-boards are also welcome.

Cost of this trip is 80$ per person.




*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
