Itinerary:

Early season touring on 93N.

Hopefully Godzilla El Niño brings precipitation to Parker Ridge.

Prerequisites:

Beginner friendly; AST1 preferred.

Plan:

Friday:
Drive to HI Nordegg Friday night. We'll try to coordinate carpooling.

Saturday:
Head to Hilda Creek Saturday morning, ski Hilda Ridge.
Stay at HI Hilda Creek Saturday night.

Sunday:
Ski something else (Parker Ridge, or maybe head down to Bow Summit).
Drive back to Edmonton.

Required Items to Bring:

Parks pass
ski touring / splitboarding setup
beacon, shovel, probe (available to borrow from the club)
sleeping bag
ear plugs
hut slippers
garbage bags to pack out garbage
TP
hand sanitizer
headlamp
lighter or matches for the propane stove and heater pilot light
food


Notes:

"HI Hilda Creek is completely off-the-grid and unstaffed, with no running water, electricity or cell service. Please bring your own bedding."

Fees:
$59.02 per person for HI Hilda Creek
$42.82 or $53.52 per person for HI Nordegg depending on how many people want to cram into a room (Nordegg private rooms are 4 beds, max 5 people; right now I have 1 room booked).

Waiver and Membership Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to you having a current membership and a current signed ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”), which is signed in conjunction with purchasing/renewing your membership.

A separate Waiver is not required. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca. If your membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to the foregoing waiver terms. Bookings without a current Waiver at the time of the activity will be cancelled.
