Free group camping for ACC members and guests at Cavalcade Meadows (part of Two O'clock Creek Campground) in the Kootenay Plains Recreation Area. There is no specific itinerary - members are encouraged to self organize hikes, climbing etc. on the many trials and crags in the Bighorn Backcountry area. However, we are doing trail maintenance on two trials if participants want to join in.

| Required Items to Bring: |
|
This is a car-camping based weekend. Please bring car camping equipment to stay warm and dry in any weather. Please bring equipment for daily activities (e.g., hiking, climbing, biking etc.). If you intend to participate in trail maintenance, please bring sturdy boots, safety glasses (sunglasses OK), work gloves, sun, bug, and bear protection (bear spray).

| Recommended Items to Bring: |
|
Camping equipment including for cooking (stove pots), sleeping (tent, pad, sleeping bag), and hygiene. Large water jug (fill at home since the water source might be far away and site water is not great). Tarp or awning in case of rain. Camping chair. Equipment for Sunday's activities (e.g., hiking or rock-climbing depending on your interest). Trail clearing tools if you have them (especially saws).

1 hour and 30 min (149 km) west of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11.

This camp is intended as a fun social event for YEG ACC members to connect, explore the Bighorn Backcountry and enjoy some activities together. Please do not feel obliged to participate in trail maintenance, but help is welcome. We will attempt to clear two trials including Landslide Lake from the west side and Hidden Quartzite trail. trip leaders are encouraged to use this camp as a base for other activities. Guests, children, dogs welcome at camp and on the trial.

Waiver Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to the participant having signed the
ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”). The Waiver is a legal document in which you waive or give up the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY!
Members participating in this activity do not require a separate Waiver.
Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. If your membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver
will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree with the forgoing waiver terms. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca.
Non-members participating in this activity will be required to review and agree to the Waiver prior to participating in the activity. The current version of the Waiver can be viewed here alpineclubofcanada.ca/acc-waivers/. The Waiver will be
presented for completion at the start of the Activity.
