Itinerary:

We will spend Saturday from 10AM to roughly 4PM working on a trail maintenance project directed by the Friends of Jasper. Camping on Friday and Saturday nights at Snaring Overflow is provided for free. Saturday afternoon and Sunday are free for self-organized hikes, climbs etc.

Required Items to Bring:

Sturdy boots, clothing for expected conditions, work gloves, eye protection (sunglasses), sun and bug protection.


Recommended Items to Bring:

Camping equipment including for cooking (stove pots), sleeping (tent, pad, sleeping bag), and hygiene. Large water jug since the water source might be far away. Tarp or awning in case of rain. Equipment for Sunday's activities (e.g., hiking or rock-climbing depending on your interest).

Drive 38 km past Jasper East Gates to Snaring Road (right turn). Drive 5.6 km to Overflow campground (first right after Snaring River bridge).

 

Notes:

Trail maintenance tools provided by FoJ, but if you have a favourite saw, please bring it. You may earn your Level 1 Sightline Clearing Certificate during this activity. Guests, children are welcome. Dogs welcome but must be on a leash. Some hiking to the trail maintenance site will be required, so moderate fitness is necessary. Bring a bagged lunch both days. Waiver Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to the participant having signed the ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”). Members participating in this activity do not require a separate Waiver. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. If your membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity.
