Itinerary:

Join us for an unofficial celebration of winter at the historic Wheeler Hut! The hut provides access to some of the best skiing in the Pass, including Avalanche Crest, Sir Donald area, Illicillewat Glacier, Glacier Crest, the Asulkan valley, and classics like Forever Young, Seven Steps of Heaven, the Dome Glacier, and other hidden gems.

We've got the whole hut (24 beds) and we're calling this a ski "festival". You can expect to be surrounded by stoked skiers and boarders that will be heading out in small groups to explore the many options available from this hut, returning in the evenings to share exaggerated tales whilst revelling in the joy of being alive and carousing past the official quiet hours.

We're aiming to fill the hut with a mix of individuals and self-reliant groups (3-4 people), with AST 2 or equivalent experience in Complex avalanche terrain. Applicants for this event should list others in their party (if applicable) and briefly describe their relevant experience, training, and familiarity with the area.

Dinner plans and carpools will be determined once we finalize the participants. Hut details from the ACC are provided here.
