Every year a dedicated group of local stewards organizes a garbage cleanup in the David Thompson Corridor area (around Abraham Lake). This area is beautiful. Let’s help keep it that way by giving a bit of our time to help with the clean up. It’s always a good time - a great place to meet fellow outdoor adventurers and there are a ton of sweet prizes for participants! The plan is to make this a weekend trip and attend the clean up as part of the weekend trip events.

The Plan… Friday, July 18th: Head down to David Thompson area and free camp at the Abraham Slabs Area. Cory and Jenn will try to arrive as early as possible to secure a spot big enough for everyone who is camping. You are of course free to set up your own accommodations elsewhere or even drive up Saturday AM… but camping is fun and it is always a good time hanging out as a group!
Saturday, July 19th: We'll meetup at the cleanup at the Pinto Lake Staging area at 9:30am (30 min before the cleanup starts). We will participate in the clean up until 1pm and then head off for some afternoon objectives. After the day is done, everyone is free to meet at the campsite for some socializing around the fire.
Sunday, July 20th: Another great day of outdoor adventure. We can have conversations on Saturday night about locations and objectives for Sunday. We will aim to wrap up our activities and objectives by 3pm.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations (if you are not free camping with us) and transportation. Please note you are responsible for all your own meals.
