Itinerary:
This is a family friendly trip with kids involving backpacking, fishing and a hopefully lot of fun. Kids must be accompanied by their parent(s) / Guardian(s) / Caretaker(s). Day 1 (August 2): Start from Edmonton (~5am) or meet up at Owen Creek Trail head (~10:00am). Hike up to Michele Lakes (~11.5Kms), Elevation gain 1150 meters. Set up camp near Michele Lakes. Day 2: Casual activity around the camp. Mostly fishing and may be a small hike/scramble, Generally enjoy the alpine lakes and beautiful scenery. Day 3: Pack out and return to trail-head, return to Edmonton. Individuals are responsible for their own Fishing licenses and Alberta Public Land Camping permit.
Required Items to Bring:
Typical Backpacking gear (Tent, sleeping bag, cooking stove, bear proof bag or container, lights, food, etc), and Fishing gear.
