This trip, organized by the Queer Climbing Collective, is a closed trip for members of the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community. Contact Finn to register.


We are climbing in two groups. One group will be climbing with an ACMG guide on Saturday and Sunday and learning to multipitch. The cost is $75 plus camping fees. The second group will be climbing independently and the only cost is camping fees. You must be able to independently single pitch climb to attend this trip. 

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet 

Harness 

Climbing shoes 

Belay/rappel device with locking carabiner (e.g. BD ATC Guide or Petzl Reverso)

Lanyard or personal anchor system with locking carabiner

Spare locking carabiner for clove hitch

Anchor kit (120 (or 180) cm sewn sling, 1 locking carabiner and 2 non-locking carabiners) 

Sterling Hollowblock or short cord (1.5m) for rappel prusik 

Quickdraws (a dozen or so per pair)

One alpine draw (a 60cm sling with two non-locking carabiners)

Single rope (60 or 70m per pair)

Small pack to wear during the climb (to carry water, food, rain jacket, small first aid kit and phone)

Layers appropriate for the expected forecast (e.g. puffy, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, rain pants, rain/wind jacket)

Approach shoes or hiking shoes/boots for the hike up

Chalk (optional)

Pole (optional)

Bear spray (recommended)

Large pack (optional, but can leave at the base of the climb and can be more comfortable to hike with than the small pack used during the climb)


We may be able to assist participants in the guided group with gear. All independent climbers are expected to be self-sufficient. 


Some snacks are provided but participants are responsible for their own meals. Participants are responsible for their own camping gear, but please reach out if you need support with this.

The trip runs rain or shine. Guiding fees are due upon registration and are non-refundable.
