Itinerary:

Meet up at the Pinto Staging area. The event starts at 1000 until 1300 (only 3h). Get ready to walk along the highway, side trails and on camp sites for picking up garbages that people have left behind. Gather at the end of the day back at the Pinto staging area for a small draw of prizes and group pictures. (normally)

This is a good occasion to give back to an area that has so much to offer. There is also the option to do activities on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday as long as you want. 


Activity options include: hiking, scrambling, climbing, mountain biking, via ferrta, etc.

Required Items to Bring:

-solid boot to walk on rough ground

-hat, sunglasses and sun screen

-work gloves

-work clothes


Recommended Items to Bring:

Dress for the weather.


Camping gear if you are spending the weekend in the area.


Gear to support the activities that you plan on doing.


How to Get There:
Event Directions:  

Drive West from Nordegg on HWY 11 for about 49 km, after crossing the Cline River bridge, look for the staging area shortly to your right (North of the road). There is normally a tent set up with volunteers to brief the clean-up crews and to hand out marker safety vests.

 

Notes:

Public Land use permit is required for each adult that will be camping in the Public Land areas.

Proposed camp site: Wildhorse Creek (a bit further but normally quietter).
