Let's ski what's left.

This is an advanced oriented and couloir curious trip for alpine ski touring and/or split boarding based out of Rampart Creek Wilderness Hostel.  Objectives will be highly dependent on conditions at time of trip as well as group consensus but possibly look at nearby options including Silverhorn, Chephren coiloir, Patterson couloirs, and similar but further if needed. 

Participants will be selected at the discretion of the trip leader. 

Required Items to Bring:

AST1 required (AST2 preferred). 

Boot crampons required (Ski crampons recommended).

Ice Axe required.

Backpack with ski/board carry required.  



How to Get There:
Event Directions:  

We plan to carpool where possible, travelling there Friday evening and staying two nights with return to Edmonton Sunday evening.  This trip will accommodate 4-6 participants in shared sleeping, cooking, and lounging areas.  There are minimal services at the hostel, details at: https://hihostels.ca/en/destinations/alberta/hi-rampart-creek

Hut fees will depend on # participants (~50-80$ each, splitting cost of 6 person private room).

Waiver and Membership Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to you having a current membership and a current signed ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”), which is signed in conjunction with purchasing/renewing your membership.

A separate Waiver is not required. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca. If your membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to the foregoing waiver terms. Bookings without a current Waiver at the time of the activity will be cancelled.
