This is a family cragging trip that is kid friendly for all ages. Kids must be accompanied by their Parents/Caregivers at all times, the volunteer trip leaders are not taking on responsibility for kids during this event.

Kids should be able to make a 1 hour hike to and back from the crag. Probable crags include: Hidden Valley, Frank Slabs, Morro Slabs, Cinquefoil.


Please read all details, a volunteer trip leader will follow up about payment after registration is completed. Come for some or all of the trip. Cost is $50 per family per night. Registration will be confirmed once funds have been e-transfered to trip leaders.


Required Climbing Gear: Helmet for everyone able to walk, Harness, Belay Device, Shoes

Club Trip leaders will provide ropes, anchors, other group climbing equipment

All families are responsible for their own camping gear, food, transportation, etc.
Good ideas: Bring shade for kids, lots of water and snacks, alternative entertainment for kids, etc.

We have booked 5 sites at the Miette Campground in Jasper for the nights of Aug 14 - 17. If you wish to make alternative camping arrangements please indicate in the other comments section.

Waiver Requirement
Participation in this activity is subject to the participant having signed the ACC Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks Agreement (the “Waiver”). The Waiver is a legal document in which you waive or give up the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY!

Members participating in this activity do not require a separate Waiver. Your membership Waiver in place at the time of the activity will apply to your participation in this activity. If your membership renews prior to the activity taking place, you will be required to agree to a new Waiver upon renewal, this new Waiver will apply to your participation in this activity. By proceeding with the booking, you agree with the forgoing waiver terms. You can review your completed waiver by logging onto your profile at alpineclubofcanada.ca.

Non-members participating in this activity will be required to review and agree to the Waiver prior to participating in the activity. The current version of the Waiver can be viewed here alpineclubofcanada.ca/acc-waivers/. The Waiver will be presented for completion at the start of the Activity.
