Itinerary:

We have 6 beds booked at the Shunda Creek Hostel for a Steep Ice Cragging Weekend in the Nordegg Area. Most likely targets are Balfour Wall and Cline River Gallery but we may do others.

The goal is to get good laps and work on our steep ice climbing technique. All skill sets are welcome but its best if you have at least climbed ice a couple of times before.

Club ropes will be provided but you need to bring your own gear otherwise. There are limited food options in the Nordegg area so please bring your own food to prepare at the hostel.

The cost to cover accommodations and coordinators' cost is $105.

Required Items to Bring:

Personal Ice Climbing Equipment (can be rented)

Helmet

Harness

Crampons

Mountaineering Boots

Belay Device

Ice Axes

Warm Layers

Your own Food

Payment Options:
  • Member $105.00 CAD

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
