We are still in prime ice climbing season, so let's get it! This is a day trip to the Tangle Creek Falls for some ice climbing. It is a trip for all ability levels, those who want to try ice climbing for the first time or those seasoned climbers who want to hone in the technique and get some fun laps in with cool people. https://www.mountainproject.com/route/107906295/tangle-falls this is the description for the main seep in there, but it also can give a good sense of the location, and how it looks if you are unfamiliar with it. This is an all levels trip run by volunteer club members for:
those who have their own gear or are willing to rent are able to top rope belay are looking to get out for some ice climbing with cool people
Here is the plan Saturday, March 2nd (optional): This is a day trip on the 3rd however if you do decide to drive closer the night before accommodations can be found in several neighboring hostels or towns of jasper/hinton/nordegg. note: For parking for the day with in the national parks you will need a parks pass. driving times have differences pending witch route you take and on the conditions of the road, please keep this in mind and plan accordingly. Sunday, March 3rd: You can meet us at the Tangle Creek Falls lookout ( 52.267094, -117.286739 ) at 8am with your bag packed and ready to walk away from the cars. The plan is to be leaving the parking lot at 8:05 am!! We have 3 experienced coordinators that can put up ropes on this trip. we hope to have you feel at ease and help you with what ever you may be working on. Most importantly have some fun. We will climb for the day with lots of stoke and safety!
