Itinerary: |
Hi all - getting plans in for beginner/novice level ski touring/split-boarding. Hoping that conditions will be great this year, but the focus is going to be on getting in some fun on mellow terrain, meeting other touring partners, and just getting better at our general new-to-touring skills and enjoying the time in the mountains. Plan to be skiing both Saturday and Sunday - exact locations will be determined based on conditions. AST-1 is a pre-requisite, otherwise geared for new to touring. The Lake Louise hostel has reservations for 6 for both the Friday and Saturday nights, but can discuss carpools/meets if there is preference to drive down the Saturday morning instead. Hostel fees are $114 each.

Required Items to Bring: |

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
