Itinerary:

ITS BACK! Join us for our amazing weekend of food and fun as we celebrate the Lovely mountains of Nordegg and the David Thompson Valley.

The GMMC club will provide accommodation for the first 20 members for Friday and Saturday nights Oct 13 and 14 2023. There will be a Turkey dinner on Saturday night after our day of activity. This will be a pot luck style dinner, so a list will help participants bring a dish to share. You should plan on bringing a food portion enough for 6 people.

Check in to the Hostel Friday night for a leisurely morning get up. We will plan on leaving the hostel by 8:15 am.

The day activity will be a hike up Coliseum Mountain. There will be a trip lead for each activity level (Run, Hike, Walk) which will leave in the morning for the day. Returning to the hostel by 4 pm will enable everyone to prepare their dish for supper.  There is also an option for other activites such as a scramble or some cragging if there is interest in the group.

Sunday can be open for smaller meet up group activities or commuting home via the Miners cafe pie shop. It's open season before the season ends.

Required Items to Bring:

Required items to bring: Hiking boots, mixed weather appropriate clothing, bear spray, breakfast for 2 days, lunch for 2 days, your pot luck contribution and any other outdoor gear you think you may need or want to bring for activities you are interested in.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation.

Please let the trip coordinator know ASAP if you need to cancel so the spot can open up to others.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
