Itinerary:

Tuesdays for the month of May, get some hill training in to get ready for those mountain hikes! We will find different lines up and down the folk fest hills at Gallagher Park, practice some switchbacks going down to keep healthy knees. The ground is quite uneven so please wear good hiking shoes and socks and bring your poles if you use them. Maybe you want to bring a pack large or small to train with some weight, but most importantly bring water and a little snack. It doesn’t take long on these hills to burn some calories!

Open to all levels and guests who would like to learn more about GMMC

Required Items to Bring:

Good shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, poles if desired, smile!

Recommended Items to Bring:

A pack if you want to train with weight - you can always leave it at the bottom for a lap if you need a break.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:   The folk fest hill!  Meet beside the community league ready to start ups and downs, if you're late you'll see us on the hill, catch up!

Social style event - come if you can't don't if you can't.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Edmonton Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
